The course
The AQA English Language course is split into 2 parts:
- Paper 1 – Explorations in Creative Writing
- Paper 2 – Writers’ Viewpoints and Perspectives
This therefore means you will have 2 exams, each of which represents 50% of your marks.
What are you assessed on?
Both exams will assess your skills. Both are unseen, which means you will not be given the texts in advance and will therefore be expected to read, understand and analyse on-the-spot.
